Shelton State Offering $1,400 Grants To Each Registered Student

Students registered for the fall semester will be eligible to receive a $1,400 grant to cover tuition or fees.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Shelton State Community College announced this week that students registered for the fall semester will be eligible to receive a $1,400 grant to cover tuition or fees, which is made possible by the American Rescue Plan.

Payments can also be refunded directly to the student after classes have started for the fall semester. With the grant funding in mind, Shelton State will hold a special Admit Day on Aug, 11, which will see students complete all parts of the admission process in a single session.

Two sessions will be held on Aug. 11: From 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and then from 1:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Only students registered before Aug. 20 at noon are eligible for this funding.
