This comes after a large-scale manhunt in the Brierfield community Wednesday and $15,000 reward offered for information leading to his arrest.

As Patch previously reported, District Attorney Michael Jackson told local media the deputies were transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham. At last report, one was listed as stable and the other in critical condition.

Steven Johnson, the father of Bibb County Deputy Brad Johnson, posted to social media on Wednesday to say his son was shot in the head and is currently on life support.

Jackson said the shooting occurred around 4 p.m. during a police pursuit when a suspect in a stolen vehicle got out and fired shots at the deputies. Hall was then quickly identified as a suspect and numerous agencies converged on the area to search for him.

The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office confirmed to Patch has it has sent patrol units, drones and K9s to aid in the manhunt.

A candlelight vigil for the officers was also held at the Bibb County Courthouse square at 8 p.m. Wednesday night as the manhunt continued.
