Teen Victim Identified After Fatal Crash On 15th Street Tuesday
Here's the latest after a two-vehicle crash on 15th Street Tuesday afternoon claimed the life of a Tuscaloosa teenager.
TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department's Traffic Homicide Unit has identified an 18-year-old man killed in a Tuesday crash on 15th Street as Cianciola Daniel Mauricico of Tuscaloosa.

As Patch previously reported, Mauricico's Pontiac sedan was struck by an oncoming Ford F250 as he drove north from Second Avenue into the eastbound lanes of 15th Street.

While the driver of the truck suffered only minor injuries, TPD said Mauricico was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center and later died from his injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
