TPD Investigating Shooting At Tattoo Parlor Near Skyland Blvd.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department says one person was injured and a suspect is at large following a Friday morning shooting.

TUSCALOOSA, AL. — One person is in serious condition following a shooting at a Tuscaloosa tattoo parlor on Friday and police say the suspect is still at large.

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) assumed the investigation shortly after officers arrived on scene. The unit's commander, Captain Jack Kennedy, said the Tuscaloosa Police Department was called at 12:30 p.m. for a shooting at 3915 Palisades Drive off of Skyland Boulevard.

"At this time the investigation is proceeding and several persons of interest and witnesses are being located," Kennedy said in a press release. "At this time the incident is believed to have been the result of a personal disagreement and there is no reason to believe that there is any danger to the surrounding area or community."

No arrests have been announced and the suspect has not been named at this time.
