ALDOT says it will close lanes next week for the contractor to install the westbound arch on Interstate 20/59 at Exit 73 in Tuscaloosa.
Governor Kay Ivey announced a round of Rebuild Alabama grants that will partly fund a widening project for Highway 43 in Northport.
The Alabama Department of Transportation says the newly fabricated eastbound and westbound arches will be installed in early 2021.
ALDOT says the Highway 82 eastbound inside lane and westbound inside lane will be closed Sunday from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m.
The initiative will begin Wednesday, Nov. 18 and will pay of $18 in fines for each toy valued at more than $10.
The project will include a separator curb with vertical delineators, new traffic striping and the widening of the northbound shoulder.
The closures will last from 11 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday. and all interstate lanes will remain open.
