PARA says the program will last approximately an hour, which will provide attendees the opportunity to also attend the City of Northport's Memorial Day program at 10:30.

Webb was first appointed by Gov. Robert Bentley in September 2016 to serve out the term of his predecessor as district attorney, before winning his first full term in office on Nov. 8, 2016.

Originally from Morgantown, West Virginia, Webb served in the United States Marine Corps from 1985-1989, before going on to get his undergraduate degree from Auburn University and his law degree from the University of Alabama.

After his military service and completing his education, Webb worked as a public defender and defense attorney in Tuscaloosa County before ascending to his current office. He has also been involved in numerous organizations over the years.

When asked for his thoughts on Memorial Day, Webb told Patch that words fall short in conveying the true importance of honoring the memory of the countless men and women who have given their lives in the service of their country.

As for receiving an invitation to deliver the keynote during the program, he told Patch "It is a great and difficult honor as we seek through insufficient words to express our deep gratitude to two centuries' worth of fallen American hero-warriors who gave their lives on our behalf."
