Tuscaloosa County E911 Deputy Director Teressa Whiteside said the job fair will be a great opportunity for Tuscaloosa County residents to understand the responsibilities of call takers and dispatchers.

"Each agency is different in several areas such as jurisdictions, hours, and benefits to name a few, but we all work together for the citizens and visitors of Tuscaloosa County," she told Patch. "If you feel that you are a great communicator and listener, come out and see if any of the agencies are a good fit for you. If you are a bilingual speaker your talents are greatly needed in this field."
