Tuscaloosa County EMA To Replace TuscALERT with New Emergency Alert System
Tuscaloosa County EMA announced Thursday that it will implement RAVE Alert as its new emergency notification system.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa County residents who receive emergency notifications through TuscALERT will soon be transitioned to a new statewide alerting platform designed to improve the delivery of critical public safety information.

The Tuscaloosa County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) announced Thursday that it will implement RAVE Alert, a new emergency notification system that will replace the county's current Everbridge-based platform on June 19.

Beginning Friday, residents already enrolled in TuscALERT are encouraged to monitor their email for instructions on how to complete registration in the new system.
Tuscaloosa County EMA says RAVE Alert is being deployed statewide by the Alabama Emergency Management Agency and offers enhanced technology intended to provide faster and more accurate emergency communications to the public.

"This upgrade represents a significant step forward in our ability to communicate with residents during emergencies," Tuscaloosa County EMA Director Nick Lolley said. "RAVE Alert provides a more advanced and reliable platform that will help us deliver critical weather warnings, public safety notifications, and emergency information when it matters most."
County officials said the new platform will allow Tuscaloosa County EMA and its public safety partners to quickly distribute alerts related to:
- Severe weather warnings
- Public safety emergencies
- Evacuation and shelter information
- Missing persons alerts
- Other critical incident notifications
Additional information about registration and enrollment will be shared through Tuscaloosa County EMA's official communication channels as the June 19 transition date approaches.
