Tuscaloosa Exchange Club Awards Top Honor To Sydney Cook

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa attorney Sydney Cook has been named the 2021 Exchangite of the Year by the Tuscaloosa Exchange Club.

Previously serving as president of the club in 1983, he has been a member for 43 years and was honored with the club's top distinction during its Sept. 16 meeting.

Cook has practiced law in Tuscaloosa and the surrounding area since 1975, focusing in the areas of real estate, wealth and asset protection/planning, business planning, business succession planning, and the use of partnerships and LLCs.

Originally from Auburn, Cook holds an undergraduate degree in economics from Duke University and a law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law. He would go on to earn his LL.M. in Taxation from the New York University School of Law in 1975.
