Turns out, the pony's name is Knight, which comes after TPD officers responding to the initial call dubbed the small horse Ginuwine. He is approximately four years old.

TPD also credited Therapeutic Riding of Tuscaloosa (TROT) for its help the night of the initial call and for caring for the pony.

What's more, TPD said the nonprofit will keep Knight at their farm in Cottondale, where they offer riding lessons as therapy for children and adults with disabilities. There will be an Easter Egg hunt Saturday to meet the town's most famous pony.

As Patch previously reported, Tuscaloosa Police officers responded last Monday night to the call of a runaway pony in the area of 30th Avenue East and First Street East in Alberta.

Ginuwine — as he was known at the time — reportedly led three officers on a "low-speed foot pursuit," following the pony up and down driveways and through back yards for nearly two hours.
