Two Charged With Murder In Shooting Death Of Tuscaloosa Teen

Investigators have charged two suspects with capital murder and attempted murder following the shooting death of a Tuscaloosa Teen Wednesday

TUSCALOOSA, AL —Two arrests have been made in the shooting death of 16-year-old Xzorian Gray on Wednesday at the intersection of Foster's Ferry Road and 21st Street at approximately 11 p.m.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department says JaShon Griffin, 22, and Johnneius Wilson, 17, are both facing charges of capital murder and attempted murder, due to a passenger in the vehicle also being injured during the shooting.

On Wednesday night, Tuscaloosa Police received a call at approximately 11 p.m. of a shooting and arrived on scene. Gray was found with gunshot wounds and immediately transported to DCH Regional Medical Center, but died shortly thereafter.

Wilson was reportedly out on bond on charges of murder and attempted murder in the June 2020 shooting death of Jeffrey Charles, 33, in the Crescent East complex of Alberta. Two others were also injured in that shooting.

Bond suspects in Gray's killing are being held at the Tuscaloosa County Jail without bond.
