The Baton Rouge, Louisiana-based company said Morrison is Walk-On’s biggest franchisee, with two restaurants currently open in Alabama (Montgomery and Mobile) and nine total as the brand continues to grow.

The 8,000-square-foot restaurant is expected to open in spring 2021 and will feature more than 70 TVs, an expansive patio and a variety of local beers on draft. The new restaurant will be the first Walk-On's location in Tuscaloosa and the fourth in Alabama.

"Walk-On’s signature menu and family-friendly, game-day atmosphere is unlike anything in the local dining and entertainment landscape and we can’t wait for the Tuscaloosa community to get a taste," Morrison said.

Started by a pair of former LSU men's basketball walk-on athletes, Brandon Landry and Jack Warner opened the first Walk-On's location on Sept. 9, 2003 in the shadow of LSU’s Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, which has since expanded to more than 40 restaurant concepts across the country.
