Threat Of Rain Moves Stillman's Black Wall Street Event Indoors Friday

The twice-annual event will showcase Black businesses from around the Tuscaloosa area on Friday on the campus of Stillman College.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — With more rain expected in the forecast, Stillman College says it has moved its Black Wall Street shopping event on Friday, Aug. 26 from Greek Row to the dry confines of Birthright Alumni Hall.

The twice-annual event has become one of the most popular among young entrepreneurs in Tuscaloosa, as the school showcases Black businesses from around the area.

Hosted from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. by the Stillman College Black Male Initiative, the event will feature vendors selling art, clothing, home goods, beauty products and more.

Birthright Alumni Hall is located at 3601 Stillman Boulevard in Tuscaloosa.
