• City Council approves $5.3 million bid for Liberty Park fire station renovation (vestaviavoice.com) — Vestavia Hills has approved a $5.3 million renovation and expansion of Fire Station No. 4 in Liberty Park, a yearlong project that will upgrade living quarters, systems, and site features. City leaders also delayed adopting the 2027 budget while debating whether to prioritize a new library/community center or artificial turf for Liberty Park ballfields, alongside other big-ticket projects and borrowing plans.
