• FHUSD staff members awarded as September Falcon of the month (fhtimes.com subscription) — Fountain Hills Unified School District honored five staff members as September Falcons of the Month during a recent Governing Board meeting in town. Educators and staff from Little Falcons Preschool, McDowell Mountain Elementary, Fountain Hills Middle, and Fountain Hills High School were each recognized by their principals, with the superintendent spotlighting a districtwide employee. 
• Fountain Hills Italian Interest Group attends Italian Heritage Celebration night at Chase Field (fhtimes.com) — Fountain Hills residents from the Italian Interest Group recently headed to Chase Field for Italian Heritage Celebration Night, cheering on the Diamondbacks against the Yankees. Seven members, including founder and president Steve Baggio, enjoyed special Italy-themed team hats and even saw their club name highlighted on the right-field scoreboard during the fifth inning.
