Fountain Hills Women's Club to Host 50th Anniversary Gala Celebration

The Fountain Hills Women’s Club is delighted to announce exciting new details for its upcoming 50th Anniversary “Gold in Them Hills” Gala Luncheon! Scheduled for Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort, the event will celebrate the club’s incredible five decades of service to the community and help to fund scholarships for women who live or work in Fountain Hills and for graduating Fountain Hills High School seniors.

Popular TV news personality, meteorologist, actor, and comedian Cory McCloskey will headline the celebration, serving as the guest emcee and providing a standup comedy performance. Attendees will also enjoy a cocktail hour with cash bar, a delicious hot plated luncheon, a unique fashion show presented by Classy-Jazzy boutique, exciting silent and live auctions, a 50/50 cash raffle, and a retrospective of the club’s 50 golden years of community service and social programs.

The Fountain Hills Women’s Club’s annual luncheon fundraiser traditionally draws attendees of all ages not only from the local community, but throughout the Valley area. And yes, men are welcome to come, show their support, and enjoy a great afternoon of fun, food, and fundraising for a worthy cause!

Tickets are $75 per person and are available exclusively online at 50GALA.GIVESMART.COM. Sponsorship opportunities at various price points ranging from $2,500 to $150, along with event program ads, are available for businesses, organizations, and individuals who will be recognized for their support in this historic milestone year. Auction item donations are also needed. All proceeds will go to this year’s scholarships, to be awarded in May.

Founded in January of 1974 – just four years after the establishment of the town and its iconic, world-famous fountain around which the community was built – the Fountain Hills Women’s Club is a volunteer social and service organization dedicated to supporting various local needs and worthwhile causes. The club’s primary mission is to provide annual scholarships for women who live or work in Fountain Hills to assist them in furthering their education or careers, and to two Fountain Hills High School graduates. To date, the FHWC has awarded nearly 200 scholarships totaling over $350,000 to recipients from all walks of life and representing a diversity of careers. Past scholarship recipients have pursued plans to be school psychologists, park rangers, criminal justice professionals, paralegals, biological researchers, nurses, educators, marketing and business professionals, physician assistants, art therapists, physical therapists, nutritionists, and more.
