Fountain Hills Women's Club Proudly Presents 2026 Scholarships

The Fountain Hills Women’s Club was thrilled to continue its longstanding annual tradition of closing out the club year in May with the presentation of several generous scholarships, thanks to funds raised from the organization’s hugely successful “Boots & Bangles II” fundraiser in February.

At the club’s luncheon meeting on May 20 at the Fountain Hills Community Center, four scholarships were awarded to outstanding women who live or work in Fountain Hills. The Women’s Club also presented two additional scholarships to graduating seniors from Fountain Hills High School at the Golden Eagle Education Foundation’s Senior Recognition Night held on April 20.

2026 FHWC Women’s Scholarship Recipients

Marissa Flores is a Fountain Hills resident and a previous FHWC Scholarship Award winner who works at the Fountain Hills Unified School District as a Native American Specialist. Marissa is pursuing her goal to complete her master’s degree at Grand Canyon University and plans to graduate in May 2027. She looks forward to contributing and making an impact in the community after she receives her degree.

Melissa Madsen is a Fountain Hills resident who works at American Family Insurance, Shari Patton Agency in Fountain Hills. Melissa is pursuing her professional career as a Life Insurance Producer. She has already obtained her Property and Casualty license and anticipates completing her life insurance training and licensing by the end of 2026. She plans to serve individuals and families in the community by educating them on the importance of life insurance and how it can protect them.

Gabriela Martinez is also a resident of Fountain Hills. Married with three young children, she works from home as a Remote Desktop Medical Assistant. Gabriela is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in social work at Arizona State University. Her ultimate goal is to obtain a master’s degree in social work to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and serve individuals and families impacted by trauma, addiction, and systemic barriers.

Rhiannon Pribble is a resident of Fountain Hills and a previous FHWC Scholarship Award winner. She is married and has a 14-year-old daughter. Rhiannon is currently a level one nursing student in Grand Canyon University’s Accelerated Bachelor of Nursing program. Her goal is not only to become a licensed registered nurse, but to also prioritize patient safety, empathy, and lifelong learning to make a lasting impact on the lives of the patients and families she will serve.

2026 FHWC High School Graduate Scholarship Recipients

The FHWC Academic Achievement Scholarship was awarded to Jeannie Lucas. With a heart for helping, Jeannie has accumulated many hours of community service helping furry feline friends at Fearless Kitty Rescue. She has taken a number of honors and AP classes, as well as Nursing Assistant courses at the East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT). With plans to become a dermatology nurse practitioner, she wants to help improve people’s lives. Jeannie has been accepted at Arizona State University, seeking a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.

The FHWC Vocational/Trade Scholarship was awarded to Connor Davies, whose longtime goal has been to become an Emergency Medical Technician. He chose this career path because it allows him to make a real difference in people’s lives. Connor plans to be someone who helps his community through education and training, and who others know they can count on in times of need. He completed an internship program in the Fire Science Program of the East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) and rose to the rank of Battalion Chief, the highest position in the program. Through this program, he was able to strengthen his leadership skills and ability to guide peers in high-pressure situations. Connor will be attending Grand Canyon University to become an EMT and build strong medical and technical skills through hands-on training and coursework.

Founded in 1974 and a member organization of I Love Fountain Hills (FHCCA) since 2022, the Fountain Hills Women’s Club is a non-profit, all-volunteer social and service organization dedicated to providing impactful scholarships, particularly those that will support women’s achievement and help local women continue their education and advance their careers.
