Hilton North Scottsdale at Cavasson Welcomes New Executive Chef

Roberto Madrid has been appointed the new executive chef at the award-winning Hilton North Scottsdale at Cavasson. Madrid will oversee all kitchen operations, execute menu ideation and preparation, and usher Hilton Cavasson and its flagship restaurant, Desert Pony Tavern, into a new chapter of growth.

“Chef Roberto is an established name in Scottsdale, and we know he will use his expertise to contribute to the optimal guest experience we provide to every visitor that walks through our doors,” General Manager Patrick J. Connors said. “He has a strong sense of what resonates with guests today and brings an elevated, creative approach to each menu.”

Chef Madrid has dedicated his work to merging global influences with locally sourced ingredients. He has served in a number of executivechef positions at hospitality hotspot like the Golden Swan in the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort at Gainey Ranch and Deseo Restaurant at The Westen Kierland Resort & Spa.

As a former Co-Chairman and organizer of The Friends of James Beard events for over a decade, Madrid has solidified himself as a force in the culinary community at large. He moved from Huntington Beach in Southern California, where he was a corporate chef for Wild Thyme Restaurant Group.
