University of Arizona Eller College of Management Announces 2026 Breakfast with the Economists

The University of Arizona Eller College of Management is pleased to announce its annual Breakfast with the Economists presented by JP Morgan Chase. The event takes place on Thursday, June 4 from 8 to 9:45 a.m. at the Westin La Paloma Resort located at 3800 E. Sunrise Drive.
Jennifer Pullen, new executive director of the Economic and Business Research Center (EBRC) and Joe Snell, president and CEO of the Chamber of Southern Arizona, will serve as the event’s keynote speakers. Jennifer will provide analysis and insight on what to expect for the future of Tucson and Arizona economies.
New this year, the program expands to include a featured business panel moderated by Joe Snell, CEO of The Chamber of Southern Arizona, to bring fresh perspectives and expertise from regional leaders on the future of Southern Arizona’s Economy.
The annual Breakfast with the Economists continues to be a valuable and insightful event for our community,” says Karthik Kannan, dean, and Halle Chair in Leadership of the Eller College. “This year, we are especially pleased to have Jennifer Pullen, EBRC’s new director, lead the discussion and share insights on the current state of our local and state economies. We are also excited to partner with Joe Snell and The Chamber of Southern Arizona to introduce a dynamic panel that will deepen the conversation and drive thoughtful discussion.”

- Arizona’s and Tucson’s economic slowdown in the past year
- Slower gains in jobs, population, taxable sales, and personal income
- Shifting demographics, including an aging population and reduced migration
- Slower employment cost growth as job churn lost momentum

- How is global and national uncertainty affecting Arizona?
- Which industries face the greatest disruption from AI?
- Will higher gas prices put upward pressure on inflation?

The 2026 Breakfast with the Economists takes place in the Grand Canyon Ballroom of the Westin La Paloma Resort. Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m.
