2 Men Killed In Separate Homicides In Oakland: Police
Authorities are investigating two separate suspected homicides in Oakland.
OAKLAND, CA — Two unrelated, suspected homicides were being investigated in Oakland on Sunday, according to the Oakland Police Department.
The police department said in separate news releases that a man was found dead in a residence in the 1500 block of Jackson Street on Friday at about 7:15 p.m.
The victim had multiple lacerations, and the scene was investigated by homicide detectives. The identity of the victim was withheld until their next of kin can be notified.

In a second statement, the Oakland Police Department said a man was shot on Saturday at about 7:15 a.m., in the 300 block of Grand Avenue.
The man was declared dead at the scene by paramedics. He identified as an Oakland resident, but further details were also being withheld about that victim until next of kin is notified, police said.
