Alameda 11-12 Little League All-Stars Win District Final

Alameda beat North Oakland in the District IV Final to advance to sectionals.

In the 11-12-year-old All-Star District IV championship game on July 13, Alameda took a four-run lead in the first inning after batting around the lineup. Alameda’s Hunter Hennigh held Oakland to 2 runs through the 2nd, but Oakland came out swinging in the 3rd to score three more.

Alameda quickly responded, scoring 6 runs in the 3rd on a blast over the fence by Francisco Pedraza followed by another shot over the wall by Matt Achramowicz.

Solid pitching by Alex Achramowicz allowed only two hits in the next three innings. Singles by Bradley Anderson, Jake Cala and Wesley Cheung, and doubles by Kyle Averitt, Alex Achramowicz and Will Avellar added to the strong Alameda offense.

Alameda advanced to the championship game by beating Albany (8-2), Lafayette (13-0), Martinez (13-1), and Walnut Creek (12-4).
