Alameda Fire Crews Knock Down Fire in Townhouse Garage

The firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading into the home.

This morning, at 9:52 am, Alameda Fire Department was notified of a fire in a residence on Kinkaid Court, Alameda. First-arriving firefighters found smoke coming from the garage attached to a two-story townhouse. Firefighters stretched hose lines and quickly extinguished the fire, confining it to the garage.

Fire damage was limited to the contents and structure of the garage, without extension into the living area of the home. A total of 20 firefighters responded.

There were no reported injuries.

The cause and origin are under investigation.
