Alameda Home Team Offers Tour of Local Affordable Housing
The May 11 kick-off event includes a bus tour of selected current and potential affordable and market rate properties and sites that can meet the needs of the community.

This Saturday, the Alameda Home Team, a broad-based coalition of business, non-profit and community-wide individuals, presents "Homes are the Heart of Alameda," a campaign to support the need for all types of homes for all Alamedans, including seniors, families, individuals working here and people with disabilities.
The non-profit organization is promoting a new conversation about housing of all types, including affordable homes, and addressing common misperceptions about a variety of homes.
It believes in the value of Alameda taking care of its own, knowing that a mix of homes creates vibrant neighborhoods, strong families, consistent education and a healthy economy.
