Alameda Hospital: Shooting Victim Seeks Treatment

ALAMEDA, CA — A 19-year-old man is in stable condition after he was shot while he was driving in East Oakland on Sunday night, police said on Monday.

Investigators learned about the shooting after staff at Alameda Hospital called them at 11:42 p.m. on Sunday to tell them that a shooting victim had arrived there to be treated for his wounds, according to police.

The victim told investigators that the shooting occurred a short time earlier in the 1600 block of 28th Avenue, police said.
