Alameda Increasing Rebates For EV Chargers
Are you planning to install an EV charger at your home or business? Wait a few weeks and you'll get more money.
ALAMEDA, CA — Are you planning to buy a plug-in electric vehicle (EV)? Wait a few weeks before installing an EV charging station at your home. Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) is increasing its cash rebates on July 1.
The increase will give homeowners a rebate of up to $800 toward the purchase of a level 2 charger and any electric upgrades and permitting needed to install the charger, a $300 increase from the previous rebate.
For businesses, AMP has increased rebates up to $5,000 per charger, that's up from $3,000.

The money for the rebates comes from the state's low-carbon fuel standard (LCFS) funds.
