Alameda Police Make Arrest in Double Shooting
Both victims were transported to Highland Hospital for treatment.

ALAMEDA, CA - Police arrested a suspect in the shooting of two employees at an Alameda gas station on Saturday night. The suspect was identified today as Valente Blanco-Garcia, a 20-year-old pizza maker who lives not far from the gas station, according to police.
The shooting was reported just after 11 p.m. at the am/pm station at 1260 Park St., police said. Two men, both employees at the gas station, were found with gunshot wounds and were taken to Highland Hospital for treatment. Both are expected to survive.
Shortly after the shooting, a woman reported a suspicious person in the post office parking lot at 1333 Park Ave. Police arrested Blanco-Garcia there on suspicion of two counts of attempted murder.

Blanco-Garcia lives in the same block as the post office, according to police.
He is being held in Santa Rita Jail without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday morning.
