Alameda Police Release Video Of Laptop Thieves
Police believe the thieves may have struck at Starbucks and other coffee shops elsewhere in the Bay Area. (Video) BREAKING

ALAMEDA, CA — Alameda Police have released video of two laptop computer thieves recorded as they cased one Starbucks, attempted to steal a computer, and then snatched two laptops from a second store minutes later.
Police note similar thefts elsewhere in the Bay Area. These suspects could be responsible for other thefts, could be part of a ring of thieves or may just be copycats.

The video was taken on Sept. 4. The thieves tried their skills at the Starbucks at 2671 Blanding Ave. at 12:35 p.m. When they failed, they went to the Starbucks 1364 Park St. just 10 minutes later.
The first suspect is described as a black man who is believed to be 18 to 20 years old and was wearing a black hoodie, black jeans and red tennis shoes, police said.

The second suspect was described as a black man believed to be 18 to 20 years old who was wearing a black knit cap, blue shirt and baggy light-blue jeans, police said.
