
ALAMEDA, CA — Members of the Alameda Education Association have voted to ratify a tentative contract agreement reached between the union and school district. The contract includes a 4.5 percent salary increase for teachers, nurses, speech and language pathologists, and counselors for the 2018-19 school year.
Other provisions of the contract include:
- an additional Professional Development day for AEA members
- creation of an employee longevity compensation for years of service to AUSD
The Alameda Unified School District Board of Education will vote on ratification of the contract at its next public meeting on Feb. 12.
