CELEBRATE DENNIS STONE (1940-2015) THREE WAYS

A celebratory bike ride will leave Rock Wall Winery, 2301 Monarch Street, at Alameda Point, at 9:00 am Sunday. Three loop options of 6, 17, and 29 miles—all flat—will accommodate riders of all abilities, and return to the winery by 1:00 pm. The routes and details are listed at Ride with GPS:

A memorial celebration at Rock Wall Winery follows from 1:00 - 4:00 pm, with an informal wake at the bike shop beginning at 5:00 pm Sunday.
Many Alamedans bought their bikes or had them repaired at Stone’s Cyclery, and Dennis sponsored bike rides and races long before the “bike boom” of the 1970s.
