Council Will Interview City Manager Candidates
The council hopes to narrow down a field of candidates for city manager.

The City Council will meet in closed session Saturday to interview candidates for the position of city manager.
The council hopes to narrow down the field from six candidates to two, said Acting City Manager Lisa Goldman.
The city's last permanent city manager, Debra Kurita, resigned in February 2009. Anne Marie Gallant filled the position on an interim basis until Dec. 28, 2010, when the council put her on .

Since then, Goldman has filled in.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. at Hampton Inn & Suites, 1700 Harbor Bay Parkway. After a roll call, the public is welcome to address the council. Then the council will adjourn to its closed session.

The list of candidates is not public, said Goldman.
"If you're looking to leave your current employer, you usually don't want your employer to know about it," she said.
