The incident occurred just before 7 a.m. on Thursday.

By AUTUMN JOHNSON
Alameda Fire officials say a helicopter that landed in Ritter Park last night was part of a medical call to transport a patient.
“At 6:48 p.m., Alameda Fire was notified of a juvenile female patient was injured in a home,” Fire Captain Jim Colburn said. “Firefighters arrived on scene at 6:51 p.m. AFD paramedics determined the best course of action was to have the patient transported by air ambulance to the most appropriate facility to treat the injury. The patient was transported by Stanford Life Flight air ambulance to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.”
