End Of Summer: Photos Of The Day

ALAMEDA, CA — Saturday brought picture-perfect weather to Alameda. During a walk, Claus Weisemann found signs that summer is almost over. "The empty canoe on Encinal Beach somehow reminded me that this summer is coming to an end," Claus said in an email.

But the end of summer also means that crepe myrtle trees are blooming. Look around — you will likely see them around your neighborhood!
