Awesome triple show! Folk-rock group Rickety Van Band opens and plays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Singer/Songwriter Stephen Michael has been performing acoustically for almost a decade, but in July of 2010 he decided he needed his own backing band. Those who dare to play with Stephen Michael live are called "The Rickety Van Band!"
Next up, from 7:30 to 9:15 p.m., is San Francisco-based accordionist and street musician Renee de la Prade. She’s a dynamite solo performer; her eclectic music spans from traditional French and Irish to 80’s pop-punk to funny songs and children’s music. She's the accordionist for Culann’s Hounds and also plays with an awesome new trio called Whiskey and Women.
Headlining, from 9:30 to 11:30 p.m. is ARIEL, purveyors of fine original rock & roll. ARIEL is a San Francisco-based rock band that features great original music by singer/songwriters George Petersen and JJ Jenkins, joined by bassist Walter Bush and guitarists Chris LaRocca and Kristian Habenicht. ARIEL’s original songs are reminiscent of the classic rock tunes you’ve always loved. ARIELwas voted “Best Old School Musical Act” by the East Bay Express, and we're glad to have them.
