Amanda Pearcy & Louis Johnson -- Americana/Country Show

Amanda Pearcy & Louis Johnson lay down some bluesy country-leaning Americana ballads and story songs, mostly swapped, but sometimes sung with the blending of Amanda’s raw and earthy soul and Louis’ honey tobacco charm.  Either way you cut it, alone or together, they’re real, with depth and honesty, and simply moving.

The Texas Gulf Coast is a hard place to be a young single mom if you’re scratching out a living as a waitress while struggling to make room for the songbird in you to take flight. Luckily, the right people took notice and helped Amanda Pearcy get a well-deserved start with her poetic roots/soul offerings.

Leavening her fresh, earnest approach is the many years’ experience of her partner and husband, troubadour Louis Johnson, widely acknowledged as one of the best Mickey Newbury interpreters ever heard. He has his own tunes as well, of course, and when the two of them play together, they are nothing short of sublime.  “Raw and earthy soul, earnest songwriting and moving singing, refreshing and too good to pass up.”- Austin’s Jupiter Index Web Magazine
