Axis of Blues with Beltian opening at High Street Station

Axis of Blues – a local East Bay band – will perform in concert on April 16, 2011 from 7:00PM to 10:00PM.  The concert will be held at High Street Station, 1303 High Street (Corner of High Street and Encinal).  There will be a sliding scale cover charge from $5 to $20 at the door.

Axis of Blues, who are in the process of recording their first album, will be performing their signature blend of blues, rock, pop, funk and soul – highlighting their original songs, “Outside Looking In”, “Feeling Groovy”, “Love On The Rocks”, and “Out To Play”.  Alameda native "Papa" Robert Hill of Axis of Blues, will also be performing at High Street Station on April 9th with another band, Dogwatch Nautical Band.

Opening for Axis of Blues will be Beltain, a traditional Celtic and folk troupe from the Chico area.  Since members of both bands have performed in other incarnations, expect there to be some cross-over as the night progresses.
