Clawing and cawing our way into your hearts! The Birds of Play return to High Street Station Cafe after years of woodshedding and a few house concerts to boot. The “Birds” are a trio of madcap veteran musicians featuring one who is classically trained and two country rockers who have joined together to create an eclectic mix of music that features the harmony/vocal gymnastics of Robert “Woody” Trevorrow, and Barry Silverblatt, accompanied by Susan Jette on percussion. Susan plays with a variety of ensembles, from Santa Rosa Symphony to Shodan Taiko. Barry and Woody were founding Bammy award-winning members of Hearts on Fire and Woody was the seminal bass player for Americana hotshots “Houston Jones”. Barry is currently the jazzbo guitarist for “In the Swing”....woohoo !!
We are playing for the sheer fun of it all, which should make this esoteric mix an entertaining night of music and dry humor.. Come check it out!!
