Survival Groove Latin Jazz Show

Survival Groove was born at a party from a jam session where musicians from different genres brought their knowledge and love of jazz and latin music, finding synergy in a common groove. The group brings together veteran jazz guitarist, Gene Tucci who comes from years of experience in the jazz, rock and R&B worlds with Roberto Medina and Sylvia Sherman, who have played in the latin music scene, co-directing the popular contemporary son ensemble, La Familia Son. Joining this original trio are Dan Schulman, well versed in both jazz and latin music on trombone, and Manuel Velasco, known for his work with Bombo Music Productions, on congas.

Survival Groove brings you jazzy renditions of Cuban son with favorites such as Son de la Loma, and Latin rhythms into original arrangements of Jazz. With ample talent for improvisation, each performance is unique and pleasing for both listening and dancing
