Free Help for Alameda Businesses to Cut Costs and Carbon

Become an Alameda County Certified Green Business

There are just eight weeks left for Alameda businesses to take advantage of receiving free help to become an Alameda County certified Green Business, and learn how to reduce energy usage while saving money. Not only does going green cut overhead expenses, but many customers will seek out Green Certified establishments because they prefer to do business with socially minded merchants.

For a limited time, The Alameda County Green Business Program and StopWaste are offering the following energy-reducing services to Alameda businesses at no cost to the business owner:

  • Personalized on-site support and technical assistance to complete the required checklist for the Alameda County Green Business Program
  • Access to an energy-efficiency consultant to help businesses locate PG&E rebates and services

This service is brought to Alameda businesses as a partnership between StopWaste, PG&E and the cities of Alameda County - the countywide initiative is aimed at helping local communities reach their climate action goals by reducing overall energy usage. Businesses that participate may receive special recognition and promotion by their local city. Taking advantage of this free service is a great opportunity for businesses to showcase environmental leadership and reduce costs on business operations.
