Fundraiser to Benefit Widow of Chef Soleil Banguid
A dinner featuring some of the dishes Banguid served up at Soleil's African Cuisine will benefit his wife and family.
A fundraiser to benefit TJ Banguid, wife of the late Soleil Banguid of Soleil's African Cuisine, is scheduled for next Friday, April 12, at 5:30 p.m., according to an article in the East Bay Express.
Banguid, 45, died from a stroke last month.
The fundraiser, at the Albert H. DeWitt Officers Club at Alameda Point, will include a five-course meal featuring Banguid's recipes, prepared by Monica Trejo of Wescafe. Tickets are $75 and are available at Wescafe, 1536 Webster St., or online though Brown Paper Tickets.
