ALAMEDA, CA — Kasie Pollard took this beautiful portrait of a great blue heron in the Ballena Bay area of Alameda. Kasie told Patch in an email, "Since moving to Alameda, I have fallen in love with herons and see them when I need cheering up. I call this guy My Dude."
