Have you seen a Kiwani in Alameda?

Have you figured out yet what a Kiwanis is? If not, you may want to visit one of our weekly meetings. www.alamedakiwanis.org

The Kiwanis Club of Alameda has been out and around our community. You may have seen one or more of us at the Alameda Relief Fund pancake breakfast. Yes that was us setting up, cooking, serving, selling and cleaning along with many other organizations in town. You may have seen us at a local classroom as we participated with AEF in Adopt a Classroom to help our teachers give the best education that they can to their students. We were at Safety Town where hundreds of little ones learned about fire safety, cross walks, and what our fire and police do to protect them. You also may have heard that the Kiwanis worked with the city and Mayor Gilmore to proclaim the last week of October a week to honor and recognize the Alameda Fire Department. Come out and join us if you are interested in having some fun and in supporting the community. We meet every first Wednesday at 630 PM at the Elks Lodge on Santa Clara and every other Wednesday at noon at the Elks Lodge. You are welcome.  By the way you will have to visit our website or come to a meeting to find the answer to the question, what the heck is a Kiwanian?
