K-9 Unit of the Alameda Police Department visits Kiwanis

Join the Kiwanis on January 28 to learn about the K-9 unit of the APD. Elks Lodge, 2255 Santa Clara Avenue, Alameda at noon.

Officer Brian Foster and his police service dog (PSD) Gero and Officer Vanessa Dubon and her PSD Argo will present information on training, certification, patrol tactics, narcotic detection and physical apprehension. Guests are welcome. Alameda’s Annual Chili Cook-Off tickets and sponsorships will be available at the meeting or by visiting the web site at www.alamedakiwanis.org. The Chili Cook-Off takes place on January 31 2015 at the Al DeWitt “O” Club, 641 West Redline Avenue, Alameda Point.
