ALAMEDA, CA — An automated license plate reader resulted in the arrest of two people, the recovery of a stolen vehicle, and the recovery of other stolen items, according to the Alameda Police Department.

At around 3:45 p.m. on Feb. 13, officers received a notification about a possible stolen vehicle near the South Shore Shopping Center.

Officers found the vehicle parked with no one in it. While investigating the vehicle, officers learned that one of the two individuals seen leaving the vehicle was attempting to steal from a nearby business.
