A full investigation is underway to determine the cause and review possible safety improvements.

ALAMEDA, CA — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with another vehicle on Sunday, Feb. 11, according to the Alameda Police Department.
The collision happened at the intersection of Ninth Street and Lincoln Avenue.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Alameda Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team was called to the scene to assume the investigation, which is still underway. The preliminary investigation suggests the motorcyclist hit the other vehicle as it was attempting to make a left turn.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
In the coming weeks, staff from APD, Public Works, and Transportation Planning will conduct a review of the collision site and findings from the investigation to discuss any potential safety interventions.
