Local Residents Want Historic Alameda High Repaired, Used as School Again
Speakers at a community meeting Thursday night said they favor repairing the seismically unsafe building and returning it to use as a school.

Several speakers at a Thursday night community meeting on the fate of Historic Alameda High School said they want to see the seismically unsound building repaired and returned to use as a school, acording to an article today on The Alamedan website.
Other speakers said that much of the public is still unaware that the iconic building at 22000 Central Ave. could be demolished.
Thursday's meeting was one of four planned by the Alameda Unified School District to gather cmmunity input on the building's future. More meetings are planned for Monday, April 15, at 6 p.m. and Saturday, April 20, at 1 p.m. in the Alameda High School cafeteria.
