Crews were able to stop the flow of gas by 1:23 p.m. and hope to complete repairs to the line later this afternoon, Sarkissian said. No injuries were reported and the leak did not prompt any evacuations, she said.
Sarkissian said the leak was caused by a dig-in from a construction crew unassociated with PG&E. She said the incident serves as a reminder for people to call 811 to have gas lines marked before any digging project.
