Neptune Pearl Players Lend a Hand at the Alameda Food Bank
Summer baseball on the Island ... and lending a helping hand, too.

baseball players, coaches and front office staff spent Friday morning last week giving back to the community by helping out at the Alameda Food Bank.
Pearl players sorted and organized dozens of bins of donated foods.
The volunteers who work regularly at the Food Bank said they were grateful for all of the helping hands, as it helped them catch up on a large amount of food that needed to be organized.
"I am glad I can help out in the community and make an impact," said Pearl outfielder Rob Moir, who attends Boston College. "The community has embraced all the members of the team and the support is continuing to grow. Giving a few hours of our time to help those in need is something we all enjoyed doing."
