Police say she carjacked a man in Alameda and shot him as he tried to run away.

ALAMEDA, CA — Alameda Police have identified the woman they accuse of attempted murder, carjacking, and robbery in a case that happened on Oct. 22. Amelia Minjarez, 27, was arrested in Oakland following the crime spree. Last week, police appealed for video from residents and businesses to help build a case for the District Attorney's Office.
On Oct. 22, a police department employee was flagged down at 3:15 p.m. near the intersection of Grand Street and Clement Avenue by a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim told officers that he had been robbed and carjacked before being shot while trying to run away. The suspect was last seen driving eastbound on Clement Avenue in a 2001 red Honda Accord Coupe with damage to the right front bumper.
