ALAMEDA, CA — The Alameda Police Department has several officers stationed at Lincoln Middle School today following two incidents in which a young man visited the LMS campus last week and made some "disturbing comments," according to a joint statement from Alameda Unified School District and the police department.

"LMS staff have been briefed on the incident, including being made aware of the identity of the young man who made the comments, as have all AUSD principals," the statement, meant to reassure parents, continued. "At the end of the day today, APD will re-evaluate the deployment of officers on campus."

The district and police did not detail the nature of comments except to call them disturbing.
