Along the way, the students developed research, critical thinking, and oral and written communication skills.

“The National History Day Project has been an amazing experience for our students and a wonderful addition to our middle school academic repertoire,” says Babs Freitas, principal of Bay Farm Middle School. “Students have had an opportunity to learn how to do in-depth research on a topic that they are passionate about, making it incredibly engaging. Because all the projects were entered into the competition and students were each personally questioned during the judging, presentations skills were also put to task. The hard work on the part of students and their teachers has truly been impressive. The addition of the National History Day Project has been a win-win all the way around!”
